Oluchi Nwabughogu Makes History with Double Triumph at AGFC School League

By Franklin Nnaemeka – November 14, 2025

In one of the most remarkable grassroots football stories in recent years, Nwabughogu Oluchi, a standout talent from C2E Sports Academy, has written her name into local football history by winning both the male and female divisions of the School League organized by the Association of Grassroots Football Coaches (AGFC).

Oluchi’s participation in both categories was no coincidence. Her explosive talent, consistency, and leadership on the pitch earned her the rare opportunity to represent her school in the male and female teams simultaneously, a challenge she not only embraced but dominated.

Oluchi was the engine and finisher for the female team from start to finish, scoring an impressive 7 goals throughout the competition. Her performance included back-to-back hat-tricks, a feat that immediately separated her from every other competitor in the tournament.

In the finals, she once again delivered when it mattered most. With the game tightly contested, Oluchi produced a moment of brilliance, converting a perfectly struck freekick that became the only goal of the match and secured the title for her team.

Her influence was equally felt in the male division, where she scored 4 goals, proving to be a vital contributor across the tournament. Her most crucial moment came in the semifinal clash, where she scored the decisive goal in a tense 1–0 victory that sealed the team’s place in the finals.

When the final went down to penalties, Oluchi stepped up with characteristic calm and confidence, firing home the winning penalty that clinched the male championship, completing a historic double not seen before in the competition.

Coaches, fans, and grassroots football stakeholders have praised her extraordinary versatility, maturity, and competitive spirit, qualities that mark her as a potential future star in Nigerian football and beyond.

Her story is not just a personal victory but a proud moment for her school, her academy, and the entire grassroots football community in Nigeria.
